(On suffering and The 4 Noble Truths:) Empty Views: Norman Fischer "What makes us miserable, what causes us to be in conflict with one another, is our insistence on our particular view of things: our view of what we deserve or want, our view of right and wrong, our view of self, our view of other, our view of life, our view of death. But views are just views. They are not ultimate truth. "
There is a wealth of evidence that supports mindfulness meditation bringing a sense of balance and peace to one’s life, as well as reducing stress and stress related illnesses. Mindfulness has been recommended by physicians to reduce anxiety, depression and bring aid to sleep and digestive disorders. The benefits of increased energy, well being, happiness and a more satisfying life are evident with those who meditate.

The Eightfold Path includes the development and practice of these factors: 1. Wise View 2. Wise Intention 3. Wise Speech 4. Wise Action 5. Wise Livelihood 6. Wise Effort 7. Wise Mindfulness 8.
